SW4-45 (EMG-45 size) soapbar, 6 string pickup. Dimensions are 4.5" X 1.5". The pickups feature blade pole pieces for any string spacing up to 3.75" (95mm). All pickups are fully shielded for noise free operation, and cast in epoxy resin for durability and to prevent feedback. The new case design features a black-on-black laser etched logo. Pickups feature 2 conductor (+ shield) wiring. These pickups were designed to emulate the tone of Lane Poor pickups with a very natural tone, but also do a great vintage J bass tone. There are now two versions, Wide and Narrow. The Wide is the standard model, formally known as the Plus series. The new Narrow version is the same pickup as in the Sidewinder Jazz model. The Wide version is fuller and smoother sounding, while the Narrow is tighter with more midrange emphasis. Also, there is the "deep" neck pickup, which is wound with heavier gauge wire for lower impedance. The "deep" neck model has a hollower tone with smoother highs. Price is $110 per single pickup, or $200 for a set. Pickups are voiced for neck and bridge locations.
